Job Description
Position Overview
The Federal Programs Director provides leadership, oversight, and compliance management for all federally funded programs within the school district. This role ensures that federal resources are used effectively, strategically, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations to support student achievement and equitable access to educational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Management
Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of all federal programs (e.g., Title I, II, III, IV, ESSER, McKinney-Vento, etc.).
Develop and manage federal program budgets, ensuring alignment with district goals and federal guidelines.
Coordinate needs assessments and stakeholder input to guide program planning.
Provide guidance to principals and district staff on allowable uses of federal funds.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure district compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Prepare and submit required applications, reports, and documentation to state and federal agencies. Maintain accurate records for audits and monitoring visits.
Monitor program implementation at school sites to ensure fidelity and compliance.
Professional Development & Support
Technical assistance to school leaders and staff regarding federal program requirements.
Facilitate professional development activities funded through federal programs.
Support schools in developing schoolwide plans, improvement plans, and parent engagement initiatives.
Family & Community Engagement
Oversee federally required parent and family engagement activities.
Ensure communication with families is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with federal
expectations.
Collaborate with community partners to support program goals. |
